Our Minister and Staff
Pat Jobe is a minister, a teacher, a writer, a listener and a human being. Pat has been a minister for 14 years. He’s written five books and did Radio Free Bubba for WNCW for 17 years. He is a singer-songwriter with recordings and primitive YouTube videos. He hosted The Connection Independent Television for 15 episodes. On March 4, 2014, Pat was one of 11 protesters arrested for blocking the road to the entrance of the SC State House on the day the Senate took up the “Nullify Obamacare” bill.
Kathleen Anderson came to GUUF in 2012. Her long experience with children as an elementary teacher, her work with adults as a leadership coach and writing facilitator and her lifelong engagement with spirituality prepared her well for her role as our Director of Lifespan Religious Education. Kathleen loves making music and art and working with dogs and horses, gardens and stones. She is the proud mom of a grown son, Joel. He and his wife work as historical interpreters in Colonial Williamsburg. (And doesn’t she look sharp in her red Ford hybrid.)
Laura has been a UU and member of GUUF for over 20 years. She and her husband Damon were married at the Fellowship by Reverend Jennifer Slade. Their daughters Sarah and Mary are lifelong UU’s having been brought up here. Laura has been an active volunteer of the Children and Youth Religious Education committee for 15 years including serving as chair and has also worked as Religious Education Assistant for over 7 years. Highlights include chaperoning Coming of Age to Boston and the recent Habitat for Humanity mission trip to Hartsville, SC.
Stephanie has been married to her husband, Lawrence, for 20 years, and has three grown-up children. Originally from Birmingham, England, she moved to Michigan in 2005 and then migrated to our warmer climate in 2009.
Randall has a painting and carpentry business and is glad to have part of his week occupied at GUUF. He is married and his wife found us because she wants to go to a renaissance faire!
