Many of us have been feeling a weight on our shoulders as we observe the current administration’s harsh and cruel actions. We see ICE raids, redistricting efforts, voter suppression, greed, and profiteering. Where is our agency in this milieu? Are we puppets? Are we victims, hopelessly outnumbered? Are we the proverbial ostrich with our heads stuck in the sand, pretending nothing is happening? Or, are we actors with agency who can make a difference? I answer these existential questions by proposing that we must act and step forward. If we don’t, who will? We trust in love, justice, and fairness without knowing the outcome. It is OUR DESTINY.
