Scott and I have close family friends who are 15ish years older than we. They are a conservative, blended family with four children we’ve known since they were in elementary school. Recently, one of those children (a college student) shared that she was taking a religion course entitled “The Nones.” It centered on the contemporary phenomenon that people are less likely to identify with a particular religion, especially young people.
Hey GUUF! There is a growing population out there of people who want a community; they want non-indoctrinating religious education for their children; they want open minds; they want an avenue that could lead them to a relationship with a god or god-like spirit devoid of condemnation; they want challenge and an opportunity for growth; they want interesting conversation and unconditional love. What they want is what we have. I have believed this ever since our family walked through these doors a few years ago (only due to a completely random interaction, mind you).
We are the best kept secret in Greenville. Let’s not be a secret anymore! Let’s not leave it to chance. Invite whomever you know and love who might want for any of these things.
