UU Covenant CircleCOMMITMENT to a shared spiritual journey
CONNECTION with others In beloved COMMUNITY

“A friendly church is good. That’s a start. But people aren’t looking for a friendly church. They are looking for friends.” ~Peter Bowden

Are you seeking a closer connection to other folks at the Fellowship? Do you crave conversation beyond coffee hour chit-chat and and a chance to explore some of life’s biggest questions with other extraordinary people? Do you wish for a way to get involved in congregational life?

If so, then our Covenant Circles may be what you’re looking for.

What is a Covenant Circle?

Small groups provide opportunities to develop deep and meaningful connections, as well as safe community to explore and grow spiritually. A typical meeting combines personal check-ins, readings, guiding questions, and individual sharing focused on a particular theme.

Members develop a covenant-a sacred promise-about how they will be together, and agree to abide by it in all their dealings with one another. What unites the members is a desire for deep connection with others and a commitment to spiritual growth in their lives.

Our groups have 7 to 10 members and a trained facilitator. Our groups at Greenville UU meet once or twice a month at a regular time for 1.5 to 2 hours. Participant’s Guide
