Altruism and freedom are deeply intertwined concepts. While freedom empowers individuals to make independent choices, genuine altruism requires the liberty to selflessly serve others. GUUF member Kat Stellern is going to share her perspective on altruism’s existence, or lack thereof, in our world. And she’ll do her best to shed the UU light on some of the philosophical debates surrounding freedom and altruism, collective duties and individual rights and needs.
